Concepts The Gamborg Gallery web site consists logically of three levels. Level 1 is the category of exhibition (characterised by Artist or by Theme). At Level 2, under each of the categories, you will find a number of exhibitions. At Level 3, an exhibition contains a number of rooms (from 1 to 20 in each exhibition). In each room you will find six paintings, and basic information about each painting. A third category of exhibitions are Your Own. You may have more than one of your personal exhibitions, but you will only have access to one exhibition at a time, by providing predefined login and password. You can also bypass the rooms, and view the paintings in a slideshow directly from the exhibition. Here you will only see one painting at a time, and more information about each painting will be available. The painting will be of a bigger size. Techincal Issues It is only recommended to use the slideshow option if you have a high-speed internet connection (i.e. not with a dial-up modem). The website has been optimized for MS Explorer, but other browsers should work as well. Please let us know if you experience any problems with other browsers. The design has been optimized for a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. For some of the paintings, there may be text or descriptions in Russian (using Cyrillic letters) in the slideshow view. In order to read these letters you may have change the encoding of the webpage to "cyrillic". For Windows, you do that by clicking the right mouse button, select "Encoding", and then select "Cyrillic (Windows)". |
